ANTAM Participates in The Construction of Kolaka Regional Public Hospital

Kolaka, October 6, 2017 - PT. ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ASX – ATM; IDX – ANTM; ANTAM) is pleased to announce its participation in the construction of Kolaka Regional Public Hospital in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The Company’s participation is part of the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The participation was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Regent of Kolaka Regency H. Achmad Safei and ANTAM’s President Director, Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo on October 5, 2017 in Kolaka.

ANTAM’s President Director, Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo said:
“ANTAM's participation in the construction of Kolaka Regional Public Hospitals is our effort to support the sustainable development in Kolaka Regency especially in the health sector. We hope the improvement of public health services access will enhance the community welfare as well as the economic development in Kolaka Regency.”

In addition to the health sector, ANTAM also focuses its sustainable community development programs on five strategic priority areas: (1) Increased access and quality of education; (2) Empowerment of local economic development; (3) Preservation of community socio-cultural values; (4) Environmental conservation and rehabilitation, and (5) Strengthening the capacity of local communities and local  government .

In addition to Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi, ANTAM also implements its social responsibility program in its operations area such as West Java, North Maluku and West Kalimantan. ANTAM also conducts CSR programs in post-mining areas through the Partnership and  Stewardship Program (PKBL) and Community Development Program (Comdev).
