Jakarta, January 15, 2025 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) or ANTAM, again emphasized its commitment to achieving zero fatality by 2025 in line with the implementation of good mining practice principles that prioritize Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). ANTAM also strives to maintain the zero fatality achievement that has been achieved for four consecutive years.

ANTAM Operations and Production Director Hartono explained that determining  the target for optimal OHS implementation in the Company is not only to achieve zero fatality. ANTAM is also targeting zero occupational diseases and incidence due to labor diseases.

“As We strive for zero fatality In 2024, zero occupational diseases and incidence due to labor diseases, this year ANTAM continues to improve OHS implementation through the ANTAM Safety Resilient program. This program is the main foundation of all operational activities, both for employees and Our work partners,” Hartono said.

With the momentum of National OHS Month 2025, ANTAM is strengthening its efforts to internalize a work safety culture. With the theme “Strengthening Human Resources Capacity in Supporting the Implementation of Mining OHS Management System to Increase Productivity”, ANTAM held various initiatives across its business units.

“We reviewed mining safety policies, implementing OHS campaigns, and conducted operational safety testing. In addition, awards were also given to individuals who contributed greatly to the implementation of OHS in the Company,” Hartono added.

In line with technological development, ANTAM utilizes a digital-based application, Supersafe, to support data reporting of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts. This application also serves as a public information platform regarding the latest health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and news.

“The utilization of technology not only increases operational effectiveness but also ensures stronger safety supervision,” Hartono explained.

In addition to safety, ANTAM also prioritizes employee health. Annual programs such as medical check-ups are routinely carried out, including medical risk mitigation for employees with certain health conditions.

“Employees are the Company’s main asset. Therefore, ANTAM continues to provide optimal health care to increase productivity and create a safe working environment,” Hartono concluded.

Align with this commitment, ANTAM aims to continue to be a pioneer of the OHS implementation in the national mining industry while increasing the Company’s productivity and sustainable operations.
