Jakarta, April 28, 2023 – PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM) member of MIND ID - the State-Owned Enterprise Holding of the Mining Industry Indonesia, through its Precious Metals Processing and Refining Business Unit, is collaborating with the local government in carrying out decarbonization efforts through planting and preserving trees around the operational area in East Jakarta. ANTAM is committed to supporting the government's net zero emission 2060, marked by the symbolic planting of a thousand trees attended by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, Friday (28/4).
ANTAM's Director of Operations and Production, I Dewa Wirantaya, said:

The activity of planting trees that absorb carbon is ANTAM's commitment to decarbonization. This is also the Company's social and environmental responsibility in improving air quality, especially for the people around the Duren Sawit."
ANTAM initiates decarbonization through various programs involving local communities. From 2022 to 2023, the Company conducted greening by providing urban farming facilities such as composting media and productive plant seeds and preserving rare and endemic plants, including Menteng Trees, Jamblang Trees, and Bisbul Trees. This activity has occurred in Jatinegara Kaum Village and Duren Sawit Village.
The planting of a thousand trees in the Becakayu Area, Duren Sawit Village, East Jakarta, was also attended by the Mayor of the East Jakarta Administrative City, Heads of related offices, Duren Sawit Sub-District Representative, and Duren Sawit Village Chief.
