Jakarta, November 22, 2024 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), or ANTAM, achieved the Silver Rating at the 2024 Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) Award. The award was given by the National Center for Corporate Reporting (NCCR) in collaboration with the Institute of Certified Sustainability Practitioners (ICSP) on Thursday (21/11/2024).
ANTAM Corporate Secretary Syarif Faisal Alkadrie said that the ASRRAT 2024 award was a recognition of ANTAM's efforts in carrying out sustainability commitments reflected through the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
Faisal Said, as a mineral resource management company, ANTAM is obliged to manage the environment and social responsibly in accordance with the principles of good governance. Thus, ANTAM can provide optimal benefits to society.
“All of ANTAM's sustainability commitments and ESG implementation are presented in Our Sustainability Report as a form of transparency to all stakeholders,” said Faisal.
In carrying out the sustainability commitments, ANTAM also continues to improve various ESG practices, such as using a renewable energy mix and preparing a decarbonization roadmap, to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. ANTAM also consistently synergizes with all stakeholders around the operations area to increase community independence.
“We will continue implementing good mining practice and operation excellence by prioritizing sustainability in all business aspects. This is part of Our responsibility for the future of the next generation,” Faisal added.
