ANTAM Receives Primaniyarta Award 2016 for Extraordinary Export Performance

Jakarta, October 12, 2016    - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM; ANTAM) is pleased to announce the company has received “Primaniyarta Award 2016” for Extraordinary Export Performance. The Primaniyarta Award is the highest honor by the Government of Indonesia through the Trade Ministry given to Best Performing Exporting Companies that Succeed in Expanding Exports of Non-Oil and Gas Products. ANTAM’s President Director Tedy Badrujaman receives the award from the President of Republic of Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo during the awarding ceremony in Jakarta today.

Our commitment has resulted in long-term business relationships with well-established customers across Asia and Europe. "

ANTAM’s export activities have commenced since the company’s foundation in 1968. ANTAM’s main export commodities were ferronickel, gold, silver, nickel ore and bauxite. In the first half of 2016 (1H16), ANTAM’s net sales reached Rp4.16 trillion with export market contributing 62% of sales whilst domestic market contributing 38%.

Sales of gold were the biggest contributor of ANTAM’s revenues in 1H16, amounting to 68% or equal to Rp2.84 trillion. Ferronickel was the second largest revenue contributor, amounted to Rp950 billion, or 23% of total sales in 1H16. ANTAM’s gold sales in 1H16 amounted to 5,392 kg, whilst ferronickel sales volume reached 8,092 tons of nickel contained in ferronickel (TNi). ANTAM’s ferronickel were exported to China, South Korea and India. ANTAM also has a representative office in Shanghai, China, to support its market expansion in the Asia region.
