Jakarta, October 5, 2022 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM), member of Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) – the State-Owned Enterprise Holding of the Mining Industry, announce that the Company through the Gold Mining Business Unit received the Subroto Award of 2022 for the Innovative Mineral Community Development and Empowerment Program category in the Real Income and Employment Improvement Sector. The award was presented online by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Arifin Tasrif to ANTAM's Director of Business Development, Mr. Dolok Silaban.

ANTAM's best Community Development and Empowerment Program implemented by the Gold Mining Business Unit is titled Gunung Dahu Integrated Farming in Bantar Karet Village, Nanggung District, Bogor Regency. This program was implemented due to the practice of Unlicensed Gold Mining in the Pongkor area which resulted in environmental damage, so ANTAM developed an innovative business incubation based on technology and local wisdom. In 2018 a closed house broiler farm group was formed which is integrated with the agricultural group by utilizing post-harvest chicken manure waste as agricultural fertilizer. Some of the business actors, there are former actors of Unlicensed Gold Mining who have realized the dangers of Unlicensed Gold Mining activities.
The Subroto Award, which has entered its fifth year, is the highest award given by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to stakeholders who have outstanding achievements in advancing the energy and mineral resources sector.
In addition in 2022, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources also held the Dharma Karya Energy and Mineral Resources Award which was given as an appreciation to individuals or institutions/companies who were very instrumental in their thoughts, policies, decisions, actions, and development, as well as new discoveries in the energy and mineral resources sector in providing the significant impact on national development, especially in the energy and mineral resources sector.
In the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 237.K/KP.06/MEM.S/2022 regarding the 2022 Dharma Karya Energy and Mineral Resources Award, dated 23 September 2022, two representative teams from ANTAM were awarded the Dharma Karya Muda award. The first group is the GKM Rinda Emas team who succeeded in creating an application called Rinda Emas (mobile android and web) to increase the effectiveness of the logging and sampling process at the data collection stage for the gold exploration process. The second is the PSS Besties team which has succeeded in accelerating the process of compiling Bauxite exploration data with the besties database application.
Previously on the Good Mining Practices award, ANTAM also received eleven awards ranging from Aditama, Utama and Pratama ranks which were received by the Gold Mining Business Unit, West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit, Kolaka Nickel Mining Business Unit, North Maluku Nickel Mining Business Unit and its subsidiaries PT Gag Nickel and PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya in various aspects of the category.
