Jakarta, May 27th 2010 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ANTAM) (IDX-ANTM; ASX-ATM) is pleased to announce it has held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) today at the Ritz Carlton Hotel-Pacific Place, Jakarta. ANTAM’s shareholders approved the Annual Report of the Board of Directors, including the Audited Financial Statements and the Oversight Report of the Board of Commissioners for the year ended December 31st, 2009. ANTAM’s shareholders also approved the Annual Report of the Partnership and Community Development Program for the year ended December 31st, 2009.
Among the resolutions of the AGM, it was resolved to pay a cash dividend in the amount of Rp241.7 billion, or 40% of ANTAM's profits after tax of the year ended December 31st, 2009. The dividend is equivalent to Rp25.3830 per share.
ANTAM’s shareholders agreed with the recommendation to appoint the Public Accountant Firm Purwantono, Sarwoko and Sandjaja, member firm of Ernst & Young Global Limited to audit ANTAM’s annual financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31st, 2010. ANTAM’s shareholders also agreed to appoint the Public Accountant Firm Sugijadi, Kurdi & Riyono to audit the financial statements of the Partnership and Community Development Program for the year ended December 31st, 2010.
ANTAM’s shareholders also affirmed the resignation of Mr. Mahendra Siregar, SE, M.Ec., as member of ANTAM’s Board of Commissioners.
ANTAM’s shareholders also ratified the changes of ANTAM’s Articles of Association. The changes are pursuant to stock exchange regulations as well as to anticipate business developments. The changes, include among other things amendment pursuant to the Indonesia Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Agency Regulation No. IX.E.2 on Material Transaction and Change of the Company’s Main Business Activity.
