The partnership is marked through the signing of a cooperation agreement between ANTAM and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero). The agreement is signed by ANTAM’s Marketing Director Hari Widjajanto and dan PT Pos Indonesia (Persero)’s Retail and Resources Director Ira Puspa Dewi in Bandung, West Java, today, Wednesday, January 11, 2017. The signing ceremony is also witnessed by President Director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Gilarsi Wahyu Setijono and ANTAM’s President Director Tedy Badrujaman. The agreement follows a memorandum of understanding between both companies which was signed on October 26, 2016.
ANTAM’s President Director Tedy Badrujaman says to the media the partnership aims to expand the distribution channel of ANTAM’s precious metal products.
" The signing of the agreement marks our commitment to enhance our performance, particularly the gold business. We are confident the synergy will bring optimum benefit for both ANTAM and Pos Indonesia, " said Tedy.
Under the agreement, 109 post offices will serve as ANTAM’s gold distribution channels. The post offices will support the services of the existing 13 Logam Mulia Gold Boutiques which are operated by ANTAM’s Precious Metal Processing and Refinery Gold Business Unit (UBPP LM). The 109 post offices are located in Java, Madura, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara will be the first stage under the agreement between ANTAM and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero).
" Customers can purchase our gold products using an order system. Following customer’s order, we will use the service of Pos Indonesia to deliver the LM gold from the UBPP LM office in Jakarta to the post office serving as point of sale, " said Tedy. The customer can commence purchase order of LM’s gold weighing 0.5 gram until 50 gram beginning early February 2017.
" We have also launched various innovation to provide added value to the LM gold products. These initiatives include gold products with batik motif, gold depository services and gold necklace and bezel jewelries products, " said Tedy.
Meanwhile, PT Pos Indonesia (Persero)’s Retail and Resources Director Ira Puspadewi says that PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) welcomes the synergy with ANTAM as stated in the cooperation agreement.
" The cooperation will provide easier access to the public in purchasing gold products, as customers can contact post offices throughout Indonesia. As a start, 109 post offices in Java, Madura, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara will provide the gold sales services. In the future, we hope ANTAM can utilize every 4,589 post offices throughout Indonesia, " says Ira.
" Pos Indonesia has the largest, most reliable and widest distribution network in Indonesia with a dedicated, track and trace and competitive pricing, " says Ira. The post office is a strategic place for sales transaction or goods and services distribution.
In relation to the synergy between both companies, President Director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Gilarsi Wahyu Setijono says that the cooperation agreement between PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) with ANTAM illustrates the synergy between State-owned Enterprises (SOE) as guided by the President and the Minister of SOE.
" The synergy portrays the cooperation in advancing the competency of each SOE as to enhance the performance and revenue of both SOEs, " says Gilarsi. He further hopes the synergy between PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) and ANTAM will provide further growth for both companies and deliver value added benefit to the community and the state.
