Jakarta, January 3, 2020 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM) announced that the Company carried out mass circumcision activities with a total of 320 children participating throughout 2019 in DKI Jakarta, West Java and West Kalimantan.
On December 23, 2019, ANTAM in collaboration with ANTAM Medika Hospital (RSAM) held a mass circumcision activity at the Aneka Tambang Building Office, Jakarta, which was attended by ANTAM's Human Resources Director, Mr. Luki Setiawan Suardi.
ANTAM's Human Resources Director, Luki Setiawan Suardi said:
“Through this initiation, we hope it will bring a positive contribution to the community especially the social community around ANTAM’s operational area. ANTAM has also conducted socialization and coordination with the local community health center to conduct inspections and monitoring of the children of post-circumcision participants.”
This mass circumcision activity is an implementation of ANTAM's Corporate Social Responsibility program in the field of public health and support the SOE Present for the Country program. The children who participated in the mass circumcision were around 6 to 14 years old. As many as 44 children living in Tanjung Barat Sub-district and 50 children around Pulogadung which are the Ring I area of ANTAM Head Office and ANTAM's Precious Metal Processing and Refining Business Unit participated in the mass circumcision.
Previously, ANTAM's through Gold Mining Business Unit also carried out mass circumcision activities involving 131 children from Nanggung, Luewisadeng, and Sukajaya Districts, Bogor Regency on November 28, 2019. In Garut, ANTAM's through Geomin & Technology Development Unit also held a mass circumcision in Pakenjeng District, Garut Regency, on November 26, 2019, which was participated by 45 children. In addition, on July 5, 2019, ANTAM's through West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit also held a mass circumcision for 50 participants from the area around ANTAM's Mining Business License (IUP) in Tayan Hilir District and Toba District.
