ANTAM Enhances Its Commitment In The Corporate Social Responsibility Program

The MOU reflects ANTAM's intention to assist the economic and social development of the Southeast Sulawesi community, especially in the regencies of Kolaka and North Konawe. Both regencies are host to ANTAM?s mining operations .

The Governor of Southeast Sulawesi, H Nur Alam SE said: "This MOU is a real and concrete evidence of ANTAM's contribution to the community. On behalf of the Provincial Government of Southeast Sulawesi, I would like to thank ANTAM for the contribution. We are committed in properly managing the fund to improve the well being of the Southeast Sulawesi community.?

ANTAM?s General Affairs & CSR Director, Ir. Denny Maulasa, MM said: "CSR initiative is an integral part of ANTAM. The MOU is part of our commitment in the better implementation of CSR program."

Under the MOU, ANTAM pledges Rp103 billion in CSR contribution to the Southeast Sulawesi provincial govenment. The Southeast Sulawesi provincial government has committed to a proper, accountable and transparent management of the contribution. The fund is intended to provide, among others, free education and health services for the community as well as the infrastructure development within the region. ANTAM and the provincial government will evaluate the effectiveness of the CSR program on a periodic basis.
