Jakarta, December 23, 2022 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM), member of Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) – the State-Owned Enterprise Holding of the Mining Industry, is pleased to announce the Company has been part of the leading ESG Index in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). ANTAM shares are a constituent of the SRI-KEHATI, ESG Sector Leaders IDX KEHATI Index, and ESG Quality 45 IDX KEHATI Index in IDX for a trading period of December 2022 until March 2023.
SRI-KEHATI Index is an index that measures the stock price performance of a leading performance company on businesses sustainability encouragement, as well as having an awareness of the environment, social, and good corporate governance or called Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI), selected by KEHATI Foundation. ESG Sector Leaders IDX KEHATI Index is an index that consists of stocks with a leading ESG performance in the sector with good liquidity. Meanwhile, ESG Quality 45 IDX KEHATI Index is an index that measures the stock price performance of 45 stocks that consider the quality of financial and ESG performance with relatively high liquidity. The Index is released and developed by IDX in collaboration with the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (KEHATI Foundation).
The inclusion of ANTAM’s share at the SRI-KEHATI, ESG Sector Leaders IDX KEHATI Index, and ESG Quality 45 IDX KEHATI Index reflects the positive appreciation from shareholders of the environment, social and governance performance in relation to the Company in a sustainable manner. In addition, ANTAM also part of the IDX LQ45 Low Carbon Leaders in IDX and MSCI Global Standard Index from Indonesia, published by Morgan Stanley Capital International.
In terms of environmental management, ANTAM is committed to implementing the use of new renewable energy sources in several operational activities, and uses environmentally friendly fuels in the operations and production to support decarbonisation. ANTAM also prepared a decarbonisation roadmap, in line with ANTAM’s commitment as a member of MIND ID in sustainable operations. This initiative aligns with the Government of Indonesia’s target to reduce climate change through the Net Zero Emission 2060 program.
