We hope the landing dock, motor boat, and jogging track facilities, which is part of our participation in the multi-stakeholder effort at the Ciliwung Ecoriparian area, will add value in the effort to maintaining environmental sustainability, notably at the Ciliwung river.”

On April 15, 2017, the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya Bakar, M.S.c. laid the first stone in the work of the landing dock and the jogging track facility. Both facilities are now used by the Ecoriparian Ciliwung Community as part of the institutional strengthening effort.

The Ciliwung Srengseng Sawah Ecoriparian is a pilot development activity of the Ciliwung area which is located in the Srengseng Sawah district, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

ANTAM, together with other stakeholders, aim to support the initiatives in improving the water quality of the Ciliwung river through the development of landing dock and eco-tourism boat. These facilities serve as multifunctional river transportation with the capacity of 6 persons or 1 meter cubic of trash.

The development of the jogging track utilizes tailings material called Green Fine Aggregates (GFA). GFA is the residual material from gold and silver processing activity in ANTAM’s Pongkor gold mine.

The development of Ecoriparian reflects ANTAM’s environmental concern outside the Company’s operational area. ANTAM also continues to implement environmental management practices in the surrounding of its operations area. The environmental management practices include, among others, management of energy, water, emission, effluent, waste, reclamation and biodiversity.
