Jakarta, February 26, 2025 – PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), or ANTAM, has received two Gold Ratings in Company Performance Rating in Environmental Management (PROPER) 2024, organized by the Ministry of Environment. This award was given directly by the Minister of Environment, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq. ANTAM received two Gold Ratings through the Gold Mining Business Unit and West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit.
ANTAM’s President Director, Nico Kanter, explained that achieving two Gold Ratings in PROPER Awards 2024 proves that the Company is improving its sustainability through environmental and social management performance around the operational area, which has a tangible impact on the community.
“Implementing business operations based on good mining practices by prioritizing occupational safety and health principles is ANTAM's commitment. In order to achieve sustainability, We also consistently implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices in all unit/business units to ensure that ANTAM's operational activities provide benefits to society and the environment,” he said.
Gold Mining Business Unit won Gold Ratings through the Sundung Cisarua Program with an eco-innovation program using non-B3 rubber waste to repair factory equipment, thereby creating a circular economy and helping to overcome social challenges caused by the activities of Illegal Gold Miners (PETI) by creating new job opportunities and increasing competence in sheep farming.
“Through the Sundung Cisarua’s Program, ANTAM strives to increase operational innovation that impacts the environment, as well as embrace the community to increase economic independence by utilizing regional potential,” he added.
Meanwhile, the West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit won Gold Ratings through the Aek Kapuas Program for eco-innovation, using used tire waste to strengthen mining roads, and social innovation, using empty bunches and organic waste as fertilizer.
“We make products named TANKPOS, fertilizers that utilize empty bunch waste and organic waste for farmers who are members of ANTAM's foster partners around the West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit operational area. The Aek Kapuas program itself has empowered 235 people, the majority of whom are women,” explained Nico.
In addition to the Gold Rating, ANTAM achieved a Green Rating in the PROPER Award 2024 through the North Maluku Nickel Mining Business Unit. The Company also receives a Blue Rating through the Precious Metal Processing and Refinery Business Unit, also subsidiaries PT Gag Nikel and PT Nusa Karya Arindo.

The PROPER Award is given to companies that consistently comply with applicable environmental management regulations and contribute to community empowerment, disaster response, and social programs that have a broad impact.
