Jakarta, December 28, 2023 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM) member of PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (Persero) (MIND ID) – the State-Owned Enterprise Holding of the Mining Industry, is pleased to announce that ANTAM and Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lygend Co. Ltd. (“CBL”) through its controlled subsidiary, HongKong CBL Limited (“HKCBL”), successfully completed a series of transactions related to the integrated nickel minerals downstream development in Indonesia.
From this series of transactions, ANTAM and HKCBL have completed transactions where they were directly involved in (i) the share sale and purchase transaction of ANTAM's subsidiary, namely PT Sumberdaya Arindo ("SDA") under the Conditional Share Purchase Agreement dated 16 January 2023, which was completed on 28 December 2023; and (ii) the share sale and purchase transaction of ANTAM’s subsidiary, namely PT Feni Haltim (“FHT”) under Conditional Sale and Purchase of Shares Agreement dated 4 May 2023, which was completed on 28 December 2023. ANTAM and HKCBL have also signed an agreement related to the plan to establish a company for the hydrometallurgical projects (“HPAL JVCO”) based on Joint Venture Agreement between ANTAM and HKCBL on 22 December 2023.
The above series transactions between ANTAM and CBL is a form of the Company's business development through integrated nickel minerals downstream development from upstream to downstream. Such transactions will lay an essential foundation for the development of EV Battery Ecosystem in Indonesia.
The above transactions are a series of material transactions based on the Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 17/POJK.04/2020 on Material Transactions and Alternation of Business Activities.
