Nine of ANTAM CSR Programs Receive Indonesian SDGs Award 2022

Jakarta, November 24, 2022 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM), member of Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) – the State-Owned Enterprise Holding of the Mining Industry, is pleased to announce the Company received nine awards in Indonesian Sustainable Development Goals Awards (ISDA) organized by the Corporate Forum for Community Development (CFCD) on November 22, 2022.

ANTAM's Corporate Secretary, Syarif Faisal Alkadrie said:
“ANTAM implements integrated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that cover the three pillars of the economy, social, and environment. These awards are an appreciation of the Company's commitment to supporting sustainable development goals for the community, especially around the Company's operational areas.”

This year, ANTAM received the three highest Platinum ratings of the Cisangku Environmental Conservation-Based Community Empowerment program (Pepeling Cisangku) implemented by the Gold Mining Business Unit as well as two programs from the Precious Metals Processing and Refining Business Unit, namely Digitalization of Customer Services at Pok Lisa Jaka Garbage Bank and Disaster Mitigation and Management in Indonesia.

Two of four Gold ratings achieved by the West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit with the Dayak Ecotourism Concept (DEC) program: Dayak Community-Based Ecotourism Development in the Lake Laet Nature Tourism Area, and Subah Village and Community-Based “Gen Sehat” (Stunting-Free Generation). While the “Daya Bergala” program of Empowered Together to Protect the Pomalaa Coast from the Kolaka Nickel Mining Business Unit and the Jatinegara Kaum Forest Farmers Group program in Greening Practices and Low Greenhouse Gas Agriculture from the Precious Metals Processing and Refining Business Unit also receives the Gold ratings.

In addition, two Silver ratings each were obtained by the Utilization of Livestock Manure into Biogas and Bio-slurry through the Use of Biodigesters for Renewable Energy Development from the West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit and the Karamba Rehabilitation program: Transformation of Coral Cages Into the Largest Artificial Coral Structures in Indonesia from Kolaka Nickel Mining Business Unit.

For the participation of the company leadership in this achievement, ANTAM's President Director Nico Kanter was also awarded from ISDA 2022 in the category of The Top Corporate Leadership on SDGs. Along with a local hero partner from the Kolaka Nickel Mining Business Unit named Agus Gafur for his contribution as a coach for the Hakatutobu fishing group in Pomalaa.

ISDA 2022 is an annual event that gives awards for best practices in implementing programs related to achieving sustainable development goals or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the performance of companies, institutions, organizations, and individuals from companies and communities or local heroes. This award is also a collaboration between the CFCD and the Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas.
