Jakarta, February 10, 2023 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM) member of Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) – the State-Owned Enterprise Holding of the Mining Industry, is pleased to announce the Company’s aim to maintain the positive performance through the solid precious metals segment production and sales target within 2023. To achieve this target, the Company continues to innovate in selling precious metal products and focus on developing customer base in the domestic market, which is line with the increase in public awareness of investing in gold as a safe haven instrument.
In 2022, ANTAM recorded unaudited gold production volume of 1,268 kg from the Company’s gold mines. Meanwhile, in 2022 ANTAM recorded the unaudited gold sales volume achievement of 34,967 kg, improved positively by 19% compare to 2021 gold sales volume of 29,385 kg. In 2022, ANTAM recorded unaudited silver production volume of 8,203 kg from the Company’s mines, with the ANTAM unaudited silver sales volume amounted 11,470 kg, increased by 15% compared to 2021 silver sales volume of 9,971 kg.
In relation to the gold commodity, the Company's gold production in 2023 was targeted to 1,167 kg from Pongkor gold mine, increased by 28% from gold production target in 2022 amounted 911 kg. Meanwhile, in 2023, ANTAM aims to sold of gold amounted 31,176 kg, increased by 11% from gold sales target in 2022 of 28,011 kg. The gold sales target inline with outlook of the growing demand for gold in the domestic market. For silver commodity, in 2023 the volume target of silver metal production is 7,536 kg, increase 13% compared to silver production target in 2022 of 6,643 kg. In addition, target of silver metal sales amounted 9,810 kg, increase 14% compared to silver sales target in 2022 of 8,643 kg. Compared to the 2022 target, ANTAM's 2022 unaudited gold production reached 139% and unaudited gold sales achieved 125% of the target. For silver metal, unaudited silver production in 2022 reached 123% and unaudited silver sales reached 133% of the 2022 target.
Pursuant to the Company’s aim to enhance Logam Mulia gold product, on October 2022, ANTAM through the Precious Metals Processing and Refinery Business Unit, launches the Indonesian Batik Gold Series III as jewelry and gold bars. The Indonesian Batik Gold Series III presented four batik motifs that represent the cultural heritage of the Indonesian batik motifs of Batik Bokor Kencono, Batik Huk, Batik Srimanganti, and Batik Mahkota Siger. Besides being packaged in gold bars, these four batik motifs are also present in gold batik jewelry as pendants.
In addition, in Januari 2023, ANTAM through the Precious Metals Processing and Refinery Business Unit introduced the Chinese New Year 2023 AD/2574 Kongzili thematic gold bars with the first three-dimensional (3D) design in Indonesia. Chinese zodiac Rabbit with the water element is an essential identity for the 2023 Chinese New Year celebrations, which become a pioneer of three-dimensional gold products in Indonesia. Three-dimensional Chinese New Year 2023 thematic gold bar products made using modern technology. Chinese New Year 2023 gold bars are also equipped with safety and aesthetic features, which are product advantages, including microtext, QR code, and rainbow effects on the product surface.
ANTAM through the Precious Metals Processing and Refinery Business Unit is the only gold refining plant in Indonesia with "Good Delivery List Refiner" accreditation from the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA).
