The contract is signed by ANTAM’s Development Director Johan N.B. Nababan, WIKA’s Operations II Director Bambang Pramujo, and Mr. Eguma, KHI Associate Director at the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises today. ANTAM’s President Director Tedy Badrujaman and WIKA’s President Director Bintang Perbowo also witnessed the signing ceremony.
ANTAM’s President Director Tedy Badrujaman says the contract signing between ANTAM and the WIKA - KHI consortium signals a synergy which creates positive drive in strengthening each company’s business as well as supporting the development of industry.
" The development of P3FH is part of our downstream strategy to add value to our nickel reserves through processing activities. In addition, the project will also create significant multiplier effect to the development of the eastern Indonesia region, " said Tedy.
The WIKA - KHI consortium was selected as the turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract winner of the Haltim Ferronickel Plant Development Project based on administration, technical and price assessment. The selection was also based on qualification and verification process which was conducted by PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk on August 19, 2016 based on letter number 24.A/P3FH-Peng/VIII-2016.
" We are confident the project will run smoothly. We are also certain the project will be on target and on quality through collaboration between young and experienced engineers " said Bintang Perbowo, WIKA’s President Director.
P3FH is one of ANTAM’s strategic projects with annual ferronickel production capacity of 13,500 tonnes nickel contained in ferronickel (TNi). The project is expected to complete at the end of December of 2018. The consortium’s scope of work includes design works, engineering, procurement, construction, startup, testing and commissioning of the plant.
The Haltim ferronickel plant will have main production facilities of 170 tons per hour rotary dryer, 165 tons per hour rotary kiln, 60 MW electric smelting furnace and other supporting facilities.
