Pontianak, December 6, 2021 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM) member of Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) - the State-Owned Enterprise Holding of the Mining Industry, with the Provincial Government of West Kalimantan signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Renovation and Procurement of Mechanic Workshop Equipment in West Kalimantan Province Manpower Certification Center.
The agreement to improve human resources in West Kalimantan was signed by West Kalimantan Governor, Mr. Sutarmidji and ANTAM's Human Resources Director, Mr. Luki Setiawan Suardi on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Pontianak.
ANTAM's Corporate Secretary, Mr. Yulan Kustiyan, said that the commitment to assist in the renovation and procurement of mechanical workshop equipment for the West Kalimantan Manpower Certification Center is the Company's responsibility to increase human resources around the operational area.
“This is a manifestation of the implementation of ANTAM's Pillars, namely Superior Synergy and Powerful Synergy. We continue to be committed to improving the competence and skills of the community around the Company's operational areas,” said Yulan.
Yulan hopes that ANTAM's support in building renovations and equipment procurement at the West Kalimantan Manpower Certification Center can help the community in getting job opportunities.
“Hopefully, this assistance can also make the West Kalimantan people able to compete because they have the necessary skills and increase economic value for the community, in line with the Pillars of Powerful Synergy and Economic Synergy,” he added.
Meanwhile, West Kalimantan Governor Sutarmidji expressed his appreciation for ANTAM's assistance. “We express our gratitude for ANTAM's collaboration in developing human resources in West Kalimantan. Currently, the condition of the mechanical workshop is not feasible. With the assistance provided by ANTAM, We hope we can improve the condition of the workshop,” he said.
He added that the West Kalimantan Provincial Government intends to turn the training center into an integrated certification center. “We will use the assistance provided by ANTAM to build the needed facilities and infrastructure. We also open up opportunities for ANTAM to be able to use the certification center for employee training at a cost from the West Kalimantan Provincial Government through the Office of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans),” he concluded.
