ANTAM Donates Electrical Generators Worth Rp11 Billion To Meet The Electricity Needs For East Halmahera Communities

The handover ceremony was conducted by ANTAM's GA & CSR Director, I Made Surata to the Vice-Regent of the East Halmahera, Muhdin, on Tuesday, July 30, 2013.

The generators were installed in the Maba City and Maba Regency, as the regions have limited electricity supply. The donated generators were 1 (one) unit of 1500 kVA capacity and 2 (two) units of 810 kVA capacity, complete with the required equipments. The total value of the generators are Rp11 billion.

ANTAM's GA & CSR Director, I Made Surata, said,
"As the communities at the Town of Maba and the Regency of Maba experienced small electricity supply which can only be enjoyed at night, we hope that our donation to have positive impact on the growth of the welfare of the community through increased economic activity, education and public health. Now we are pleased the local communities can enjoy electricity both day and night."

The donation reflects ANTAM's social responsibility (CSR) for the surrounding communities of ANTAM's nickel mining operation in East Halmahera, North Maluku.

ANTAM's donation supports the government's efforts to provide electricity in remote areas. Furthermore the generators will be managed by the PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) (Persero).
