ANTAM Grants Scholarships To Support The Advancement of Education in Indonesia

Recently, ANTAM awarded scholarships to 17 high school graduates with extraordinary achievements who were native to the company's operation area, to pursue higher education at the Universitas Hasanuddin and the Institut Pertanian Bogor. These students will continue to receive scholarships for the duration of their studies.

General Affairs & Corporate Social Responsibility Director Made Surata stated:
"The scholarship program is part of ANTAM's annual corporate social responsibility activities. The program is a manifestation of the company’s commitment in the field of education as part of its supports to the Government to advance education in the country."

In addition, ANTAM dispatched three college lecturers native to the North Maluku province to attend higher education at Montana State University, U.S. The program was carried out to increase the knowledge, competency and quality of higher education lecturers in the region.

In 2013, ANTAM budgeted Rp11 billion for educational sector, which included scholarship program, non-formal workshop provisioning as well as supporting facility construction.

In the previous years, ANTAM awarded formal-education scholarships to 5,000 students from elementary level up to doctorate level. While in the non-formal education territory, ANTAM provided entrepreneurial workshops to more than 1,200 students from all over its operation areas.
