ANTAM Distributes Partnership Funds To Red Onion Farmers Of Cirebon

Jakarta, April 15, 2011 – PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ANTAM; ASX – ATM, IDX – ANTM) is pleased to announce the company’s participation at the red onion harvesting festivities at Panggang Sari Village, Losari District, Cirebon Regency, West Java Province, together with the local farmers.

ANTAM’s Corporate Social Responsibility  & General Affairs (CSR & GA) Director, Denny Maulasa, Assistant Deputy of the Partnership and Surrounding Environment Development of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), Hanifah Affan, and Head of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Cirebon Regency, Dedy Nurul, joined local red onion farmers and the surrounding communities at the event.

During the event, ANTAM also distributed Rp500 million of Partnership fund to support 52 red onion farmers in Cirebon.

ANTAM’s CSR & GA Director, Denny Maulasa said:

"Our support to the red onion farmers in Cirebon through the Partnership Program is part of ANTAM's CSR programs. The  program reflects our CSR activities have gone beyond our operation areas to benefit other communities in Indonesia."

ANTAM’s support toward the red onion farmers in Cirebon is part of the implementation of ANTAM’s Partnership program, which is part of ANTAM’s CSR program. The distribution also follows the directive from the Minister of SOE on cluster based system or regional grouping of core business for distribution of financial assistance.

ANTAM works together with a red onion farmers co-op for the distribution of the fund.
