Jakarta, September 30, 2015 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ANTAM; ASX – ATM; IDX – ANTM) was conferred 10 awards by the Directorate General of Coal and Minerals of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources at the Mineral and Coal Mining Safety and Environmental Management Awards 2015. ANTAM, through its business units and subsidiary, won three Aditama awards, two Utama awards and five Pratama awards at the event held in the Bidakara Hotel in Jakarta on September 17, 2015.
ANTAM's Operations Director Agus Zamzam Jamaluddin said:

Comprehensive safety and environmental management is mandatory to be implemented throughout the life-cycle of our activities, from exploration to mine closure. In the category of mineral and coal mining environmental management for holders of mining business permits, ANTAM won Aditama (Gold) Awards through its Gold Mining Business Unit, Southeast Sulawesi Nickel Mining Business Unit and its subsidiary PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya. In the same category, the Company received Utama (Silver) Award through its North Maluku Nickel Mining Business Unit and Pratama (Bronze) Award through its Bauxite Mining Business Unit.
In the category of mineral and coal mining safety management for holders of mining business permits; special mining business permits; and special mining production operation permits for processing and/or refining, ANTAM won Utama Award through its Gold Mining Business Unit as well as Pratama Awards through its Bauxite Mining Business Unit, North Maluku Nickel Mining Business Unit, Precious Metals Processing and Refinery Business Unit and its subsidiary PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya.
This annual award is held by the Directorate General of Coal and Minerals of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and selects winners based on independent judgments by mine inspectors and experts. The event is intended so as to motivate heads of mining techniques, companies and workers to achieve the highest accomplishments in managing mineral and coal mining safety and environments.
