Bandung, December 16, 2013 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ANTAM; ASX - ATM; IDX - ANTM) had planted 50,000 anthocephalus cadamba trees in the deforested areas in Gunung Halu Village, Gunung Halu Subdistrict, Bandung Regency, Bandung Province. The planting was conducted on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

ANTAM collaborated with local communities coordinated by PT Kujang Nusantara to plant anthocephalus cadamba trees in 155,65 hectares of deforested areas. The planting involved 227 farmer groups in the surrounding areas. The company will continue to provide mentoring in the planting and maintenance process up to one year.

The program aims to improve the absorption of air pollution, re-build the natural ecosystems and habitats, prevent global warming through carbon dioxide (CO2) absorption, as well as to benefit from forest-wood harvests.

This planting program is one of ANTAM's participations to support the government's One Billion Indonesia Tree (OBIT) program.
