Sukabumi, December 9, 2024 - As one of the efforts to respond to natural disasters that occurred in Sukabumi, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) or ANTAM deployed the Emergency Response Group (ERG) team and humanitarian assistance for the floods, land movements, landslides, and strong winds disaster victims in the Sukabumi Regency area. Under the auspices of ESDM Siaga Bencana, the ANTAM ERG Team also assisted in the search and rescue of the floods and landslides.
ANTAM Director of Operations and Production Hartono said, this quick step taken by ANTAM is a form of emergency response to communities affected by disasters.
“We are very concerned about the disaster that occurred to the people in Sukabumi Regency, West Java. Therefore, as a form of the Company's concern, since December 6, 2024, with total of 7 members of the ANTAM ERG Team were deployed to assist the evacuation process of victims under the coordination of the ESDM Siaga Bencana team,” he said.
In addition to deploying the disaster response team consisting of rescuers and medical teams, ANTAM through the CSR team, also provided basic necessities for the victims channelled through the Disaster Logistics Post for Floods, Land Movements, Landslides and Strong Winds in Sukabumi Regency Area in 2024.
“The Company provided some basic humanitarian assistance such as rice, instant noodles, toiletries, food, and other logistics. We also provide assistance for women's and baby's needs, such as milk, diapers, and other supplies,” Hartono added.
He hopes that the basic necessities provided by ANTAM will ease the burden on the victims affected by the disaster in the Sukabumi Regency area.
“Currently, the ERG team at the location continues to coordinate with related parties to help accelerate disaster management,” he concluded.
