Jakarta, September 4, 2015 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ASX - ATM; IDX - ANTM; ANTAM) is pleased to announce the company has commenced the operations of the Oxygen Plant No. 5 of the Pomalaa Ferronickel Plant Expansion Project (P3FP). The Oxygen Plant No. 5 was developed by an unincorporated consortium of Daesung Industrial Gases Co. Ltd. Korea and PT Koin Konstruksi Indonesia with an EPC contract of US$11 million. The Oxygen Plant No. 5 was built on time with zero accident rate. Funding for the project comes from ANTAM's corporate bonds issued in 2011.

ANTAM's President Director Tedy Badrujaman said,
"The on-time operations of the Oxygen Plant No. 5 with zero accident rate will ensure the sufficient oxygen supply for the refining production facility of the ferronickel plant inline with the completion of P3FP."

The development of the 825 Nm3/h (O2) Oxygen Plant No. 5 with oxygen purity of 99.6% aims to increase the capacity of oxygen supply for the refining process during the production of high quality low carbon ferronickel.

ANTAM's Oxygen Plant No. 5 is package VII of P3FP. As at the end of July 2015, the EPC progress of P3FP reached 94.42%. Following completion of P3FP, ANTAM expects annual ferronickel production at Pomalaa may increase to 27,000-30,000 TNi from previous production levels of 18,000-20,000 TNi with the assumption of 1.9% nickel ore feed.
