Jakarta, February 27, 2023 – PT ANTAM Tbk (“ANTAM”) grant a scholarships to the students from members of the Indonesian National Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) who served in the North Maluku and West Kalimantan regions through the SOE’s Service Collaboration Program for Indonesia.
Agustinus Toko Susetio, ANTAM's Head of IR & CSR explained that this program is a form of appreciation for TNI and Polri members tasked with defending the country throughout Indonesia.
“ANTAM participate in this program as a concern for improving community education around the Company’s operational areas. That’s why ANTAM always collaborates with SOE’s, TNI and Polri,” he explained.
The criteria for this program are outstanding students at the Diploma 3 or Bachelor formal education level. As many as 28 students from TNI members and 20 students from Polri members in West Kalimantan have benefited from this program. Meanwhile, in North Maluku, four students from TNI members and two students from Polri members also received this scholarship. Hence, 54 students received financial assistance through education savings of IDR 5,000,000 per student.
This educational scholarship program is designed to be allocated to 2,750 student members of the TNI and Polri in 37 provinces and is supported by 38 SOEs from all over Indonesia. ANTAM and Askrindo work together to implement the program in the West Kalimantan region, whereby Bank BRI manages the distribution of funds.
This program’s implementation is from October 2022 until the handover in January 2023. The selection process begins with surveying scholarship recipients, collecting scholarship administration documents, opening an education savings account for scholarship recipients, and handing over scholarships to the outstanding students.
