ANTAM Plants 6,250 Kadam Trees (Anthocephalus Cadamba) in Cimande Village, Caringin DIstrict, Bogor Regency

Since November 2011, ANTAM, working together with the local community of Cimande Village, conduct trees planting activities at the critical and abandoned lands in Cimande Village, Caringin District, Bogor Regency, West Java. The activity is part of the company’s support and participation in the conservation of critical lands in the area as well as empowering the local economy of Cimande Village.

The planting of 6,250 Kadam trees was completed in April 4, 2013. Having said that, ANTAM continues to monitor the trees development for 18 months (3 terms).

ANTAM allocates Rp129 million for the trees planting and monitoring program.

The program is part of ANTAM’s support toward the government’s One Billion Indonesia Trees (OBIT) program. The program also aims to rehabilitate critical lands, recover soil fertility, increase carbon absorption, protect water flows and is part of ANTAM’s Environment CSR program to the surrounding communities.
