Jakarta, January 29, 2023 - PT ANTAM Tbk (“ANTAM”) through Precious Metals Processing and Refinery Business Unit received two awards for its contribution to protecting the environment by the Mayor of East Jakarta, Muhammad Anwar in a series of “Car Free Day” activities.
General Manager of ANTAM Precious Metals Processing and Refinery Business Unit , Purwanto said that this award is an appreciation to ANTAM Precious Metals Processing and Refinery Business Unit for its synergy with the East Jakarta Administrative City Government in an effort to minimize and reduce air pollution caused by motor vehicle pollution.
"ANTAM will continue to synergize with the city government in environmental sustainability actions. This program will not succeed without the collaboration and support of various parties, including the surrounding community," Purwanto said.
ANTAM received two awards, namely the “Platinum Company” category which has collaborated well with the East Jakarta City Administration in Car Free Day activities in 2022, and the company category for the company's contribution and awareness in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in the environmental field in 2022.
This synergy is reflected in CSR programs that are considered to contribute to environmental sustainability. The programs include tree planting with the Mayor of East Jakarta, National Waste Care Day, Climate Village Program, and other programs that collaborate with the city government in the environmental field.
"Let us together live a life that cares about the environment and continue to contribute to the achievement of clean air starting from ourselves," Purwanto stated.
Meanwhile, Kusmanto as Assistant for Economy and Development of East Jakarta Administration City in his speech expressed his gratitude to ANTAM for helping the city government and the people of East Jakarta, especially in the Car Free Day program.
"We also expect this cooperation to continue, not only on Car Free Day but also in other programs so that it can be experienced directly by the community. Hopefully, ANTAM will continue to progress and remain good friends with the East Jakarta City Government," Kusmanto continued.
