Batch 4 Bakti BUMN Volunteers

Volunteer Activity of Bakti BUMN batch 4 is a program from the Ministry of SOEs as a form of SOE’s collaboration in implementing the SOE’s Social and Environmental Responsibility Program for Indonesia. This activity was held in 10 locations from Aceh to Jayapura on August 15-17, 2023. A total of 100 participants will be selected through strict selection from various SOE’s Companies, which will be divided into 10 people for each region as a team of volunteers; this activity also involves 10 young SOE’s Directors who are used according to the activity location.

Namlea is one of the sub-districts in the Buru regency. In the Namlea sub-district, there is Kayeli village, one of the areas for organizing the Volunteer Activity of Bakti BUMN batch 4. The volunteers for the Namlea team consist of 10 people from various SOE’s companies throughout Indonesia, namely PT Pertamina (Persero), PT KAI (Persero), PT Pelni (Persero), PT Telkom (Persero) Tbk, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, PT Dahana, PT Jaskrindo, PT Askrindo (Persero), Perum Jasa Tirta I, and PT Sucofindo. For the Namlea area, the Person in Charge (PIC) activities are PT Jasa Raharja and PT ANTAM Tbk, as the Co-PIC, with the main program focusing on economic empowerment, environmental preservation, and improving public health.

The 3 main programs are also divided into three groups of volunteers, namely the economic empowerment group (Jamilu Team) with MSME Empowerment activities and industrial households, education on the potential for developing District-Owned Enterprises and Cooperatives as well as empowering the economic potential of coastal tourism villages, the environmental preservation group (Lala Team) with socialization activities for beach cleaning programs, socialization on the importance of organic and inorganic waste and livestock hygiene socialization, Community Health improvement groups (Sanleko Team) with health program promotion and outreach activities (primarily related to stunting) and building alert villages.

Volunteers and the community played an active role in the success of these activities, as evidenced by the high enthusiasm and contribution of the community and village officials in implementing volunteer activity programs. Its activities culminated during the August 17 ceremony on Indonesia's independence day, celebrating 78 years of Indonesian independence. After the independence ceremony, the agenda continued with the symbolic distribution of assistance to community facilities and infrastructure in the village of Namlea, which present SOE officials handed over. They continued with ceremonies such as tug of war and climbing pinang.

Bakti BUMN Volunteer Activities are expected to make a real contribution socially and environmentally to the community and provide new experiences for volunteers and opportunities to work directly in service and benefit the community.
