Commemoration of National OHS Month, ANTAM Holds a Mass Circumcision in Pomalaa

Kolaka – In commemorating National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month in 2020, PT ANTAM Tbk Sulawesi Tenggara Nickel Mining Bussines Unit holds mass circumcision as social service on Sunday (02/09/2020).

A total of 150 children from 12 villages in Pomalaa Sub-district participated in the mass circumcision, which was carried out at ANTAM Pomalaa Hospital.

This activity attended by General Manager ANTAM Sultra Nickel Mining Bussines Unit, Khaidir Said and  Deputy Regent of Kolaka, Muhammad Jayadin.

This mass circumcision activities was an implementation program of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards children in the first ring of the Company. We hope in the future that more children can participate in mass circumcision,” said Khaidir

On the occasion, Deputy Regent of Kolaka, Muhammad Jayadin said that collaboration between the Company and the Regional Government of Kolaka and other stakeholders is expected to affect the community welfare.

"Let's give support to ANTAM in order to achieve its production targets. So that it can continue to contribute to the community," Jayadin appealed.

In order to support the economic independence of the community in Southeast Sulawesi Province, various kinds of ANTAM's CSR programs have been carried out since 2013 until entering 2020 and still continue.

ANTAM's CSR program is divided into several sectors such as education, health, and community empowerment. Education for example giving scholarships to students who are less able but have achievements. CSR in the health sector such as mass circumcision, cataract operations and other social service programs.

In addition, the Partnership and Community Development Program (PKBL) aims to assist the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in order to support the improvement of the community's economy).
